SUN SIGNS:
The Sun pours out its energy though each sign's filter for a month. We feel it's pulse through the sign in the tone of our daily life. The Sun's sign informs our energy, colors our conscious world. Each of us holds our Sun Sign's medicine for the world.

ARIES
(March 20-April 20): While the Sun is in Aries we return to our Self, then reach for new beginnings. We have the courage to start over, against all odds and opinions; in the process we may be headstrong, vital, raw, exhilarated, but could miss the subtleties. We decide what seeds to plant for this turn of the wheel.
An Aries embodies spring fire; erotic, independent and highly awake and aware. She is the primal rebel in us all, rascally, mischievous instigators. Revolutionary thought. She teaches us to stay centered in our self, listen to our own calling as an offering to the world. Conflict, if it's a clear, clean fight for a good cause, can be great fun.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): The Taurus Sun sprouts the seed; give your creations form, embodiment. Our ideas can begin to take, become solid and durable. A time of biological magic, celebrate the body, and the body of the Mother, as we garden, touch, build, sing, make love, and strengthen.
The Taurus embodies the strength to be soft, the heartbeat of the Earth Mother. She asks us to make our beliefs tangible, our dreams solid and durable. Comfort is her ritual. The Taurus challenge is to keep the material a sacred vessel, not an end in itself; to create dynamic security.

GEMINI (May 20- June 21): While the Sun traverses Gemini we learn the magic of communication as we cross-pollinate ideas and crops. We search for what's new, for the fresh breath of inspiration from the world around us. Words weave connection for us, but whether they hold content is up to us. Gemini eyes and nerves sing with electricity, their networking abilities were the model for the World Wide Web. She translates; from one friend to another or from one culture to another. Her often-humorous perspective can be a coyote trick turning your life around.
The Gemini challenge is to keep heart and nerves connected, and to see through a problem, not just change the subject.

CANCER (June 21- July 22): While the Sun swims through Moon-ruled Cancer we learn the grounding magic of our home, our shell, or our temple's hearth. We ask ourselves what makes us feel safe in the world, and explore work with our chosen family and homeland, to nourish body and soul.
Our Cancer is the guardian of the hearth, the hearth of our home, heart and culture. They may test us to love them under all conditions, and can stretching their heart to include us all. They can be protective geniuses. Their good minds and unusual memory all work as servant to the heart, their moods a source of wisdom, like deep, oceanic waves. With the Cancerian genius to conserve, their challenge can be to let go, compost, explore.

LEO (July 22-Aug 23) Life is a circus while the Sun is at home in Leo: celebrate ripening fruit, the fruits of your creativity, your passion and plans, as well as the swelling peaches.
Leo is the fixed fire sign, we gather around her as we gather around a bonfire. She can make a celebration a comedy or drama outs of any situation, why live a boring life? She magnifies the world so we can all see our place in life's play. Leo can generously give you her full attention as she asks for yours. In that golden glow, all comes alive. Her challenge is to listen deeply, and call people together for good reason.

VIRGO (Aug 23-Sept 22): While the Sun works its way through Virgo we bring in the harvest. It is time to sort our life, listen for new patterns, wild craft herbs, and draw blueprints. Our thought turn inward, practical, plan how to manifest the next stage of our dream.
Virgo harvests and sorts the wheat from the chaff, She is the self-possessed beauty, her oldest symbol is the sphinx who asked us vital questions and made us think for our life. The Virgo is a healing force as long as she trains her vision to the harvest; her challenge is to not get stuck on the chaff. She digests, analyses, and sees Mother in the details.

LIBRA (Sept 22-Oct 23): While the Sun dances through Libra, meditate on relatedness; bring your life and loves into balance and infuse beauty into your world, on your own terms. It's time to explore the Libran principle: Where there is justice, there will be peace.
Libra looks for engagement with equals. In her search for what's fair, she sweet talks and fights clean. She offers kind respect and a steady eye, and wants to bring balance to our world and all our relations. Just don't ignore her. The challenge of Libra is to seek her own internal balance, to love herself alone as well as in the dance.

SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 22): While the Sun burrows into Scorpio we transform, burrow in our roots like animals preparing for winter's hibernation. It is time to bring our focus in, concentrate on the mysteries, and grow stronger as we face our fears. Still waters run deep.
A Scorpio is a deep well, a mystery and detective. She knows nothing is a simple as it looks; she walks the dark edges, and is more interested in transformation than security. Scorpio knows sexuality is powerful magic. Her challenge it to balance her formidable focus with a broader horizon.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 -Dec 21): While the Sun travels through Sagittarius its time to give thanks for the harvest. And get ready to meet the world. Let your restlessness take you anywhere unexplored; to new friends, unfamiliar ideas, or foreign soil. Work on the global village.
Sagittarians live in the big picture. "Don't fence me in" is their theme song. They can speak to anyone. Their tribe are fellow travelers; those who live outside, or translate between cultures, countries, ages or species. Life is a journey; it is research, spontaneous exploration. The Sagittarian challenge can be patience with slower mortals, and learning to trust connection rather than a geographic cure.

CAPRICORN (Dec 21- Jan 20): The Capricorn symbol is a sea-goat, one who can take a vision from the bottom of our oceanic dreamworld and walk it to the top of the mountain with hard work and organization. While the Sun is in Capricorn we can be renewed by tradition, revive our routine, and set our intentions for the year ahead.
The Capricorn offers us backbone, helps us see structure, form and practicality as the setting of the soul's gem. She needs time alone but without isolation, and goals she believes in, as mountain goats aren't comfortable on flat land.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20-Feb 18): While the Sun constellates in Aquarius we dance with our politics and dialogue with our culture. It is time to find like minds and build strange alliances.
The Aquarian understands community; she can often hear and speak to the world at large with more ease that with intimates. Innovation is her magic; she ponders new combinations out of the old. The Aquarian invites us to inclusive society, holds the circle open for us. She can be hypersensitive to the rules, some to break and unusually bound by others; her challenge is to build intimacy with herself first, and then those nearby.

PISCES (Feb18-March 20): While the Sun courses through Pisces we soak it all up, listen to our dreams, be kind to our sensitivities an ask where compassion will summon our actions in the year ahead.
Pisces feels the web that interconnects all life. She feels every quiver on that web, and may overload, shifting into the dream world to protect herself. Her dreams can hold the vision for all of us, our potential. Pisces are compassionate, intuitive mystics who swim in the collective unconscious and encourage our imagination. She may have permeable boundaries; her challenge is to build a sound container to hold her.
